Home Remedy – Asthma Attack
What is Asthma?
A long term chronic disease in the respiratory system triggered by allergens, bacteria, environmental pollutants, excessive physical exertion and other lung irritants. The Bronchial tract becomes inflamed and over secretion of mucus makes it difficult for the patient from breathing.
Common of Asthma Attack Symptoms:
- Shortness of Breath
- Wheezing
- Rapid Heat beat
- Tightening of the chest
Natural Home Treatment for Asthma
Hot Milk or Hot water - The warm liquid will relax the inflammed tissues of the air passages.
Steam Inhalation - Use a paper cone to direct the steam from kettle to the patient’s face. Make sure there’s enough distance to prevent the patient’s face from being burned by hot steam.
Parsley - Can be served in soup, salad and stew. With it’s high beta carotene and vitamin C content, strengthens the body’s immune system.
Rosemary - Commonly used folk medicine for respiratory problems. Brew the herb as hot herbal tea.
Asthma Prevention
- Avoid carpeted areas, furnitures and seats which are prone to dust mites, allergens and particles that could trigger asthma attack.
- Make sure to change pillows and beddings frequently to avoid fungal spores.
- Adapt swimming as alternative aerobic excercise since it provides moist air for your lungs.
- Practice Yoga to train your body to control breathing.
